Dominance Ratio (DR) = the share of return points a player wins divided by the share of their own service points they lose (rpw ÷ (1 − spw)). Above 1.00 means winning a bigger slice of the harder return points than the opponent does — Tennis Abstract's signature control metric. DR+ folds in clutch: DR multiplied by the Balanced Leverage Ratio (BLR), which rewards beating tour-typical break-point save/convert rates on the highest-leverage points (BLR > 1.00 = clutch, < 1.00 = leaks the big points).
